Match Report - Round 6 - The Tamarind Tree - Roots Football League Season 7

The penultimate round of matches of The Tamarind Tree - Roots Football League were played on 17th of February 2019 at Turf Park Koramangala. In the U-15 category, the BL Kashyap Lions continued their winning form in the league against Unitus Capital Cheetahs which was the decider match for both teams of who’ll play the first place playoff against JobsforHer Eagles.Eagles, who already qualified for the first place playoffs even though they were upset by PN Rao Hawks 3-8.

The most thrilling match the weekend between U-13 Rhinos and U-13 Stallions which resulted in a 9-9 draw, back to back goals with full intensity and both the teams pushing themselves for a win was an extraordinary sight. The podium of the table remains unchanged with Rhinos on top with 16 points, JobsforHer Eagles at 15 points and Stallions are still in the race with 13 points

PN Rao Hawks, Bisons and BLK Lions are tussling with each other on the points table of U-11 as they’ll go in the seventh round with 15,13 and 12 points respectively. The final round will decide their fate as who will emerge as U-11 RFL champions. Unitus Capital Cheetahs and Sharks are on 9 points each and they are followed by Stallions, Rhinos and JobsforHer Eagles.

In the under 9 category, BLK Lions and Unitus Capital Cheetahs will play the first place playoff on the final match day. PN Rao hawks and JobsforHer Eagles will play for the third place. Lions went ahead on points table with a win over Eagles whereas Hawks lost to Cheetahs by 3-7.

The first place playoff of the Under 7 category will be a hard fought battle between Unitus Capital Cheetahs and JobsforHer Eagles as both the teams will go for nothing less than a win. BLK lions and PN Rao Hawks will play the third place playoffs.
